HCS SCS SB 468 -- ORDERS OF PROTECTION SPONSOR: Justus (Dusenberg) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Public Safety by a vote of 11 to 0. This substitute allows an individual who is 17 years of age to file an adult order of protection and requires all information regarding the service of an ex parte order of protection to be entered into the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System or any future similar secure electronic database by the responsible agency within 24 hours after the order is served. Law enforcement agencies must enter information regarding the expiration, termination, or denial of any order of protection within 24 hours of receipt of the information evidencing the expiration, termination, or denial. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2010, FY 2011, and FY 2012. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that law enforcement should enter service information regarding ex parte orders into the Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System in a timely manner.
